We need to pick a date
September won the poll, but Tori had a good point: more people will be in town for Thanksgiving so maybe that's the right weekend to do it. So let's say that we've narrowed it down to 2 choices: Saturday before Labor Day, or Saturday after Thanksgiving. What does anyone prefer? We're making this decision this week.

Since we've got a family WDW trip being planned for Sept -- I vote for November as I know I'd definitely be able to attend then, and yes - makes sense about Thanksgiving for all the out-of-towners.
I vote for labor day weekend since there is less family responsibility that weekend. We usually go out of town for Thanksgiving weekend and I am sure others do also.
I vote for November- Thanksgiving weekend. My baby is due September 12th, So I will be very prego at that point!

Thanksgiving weeken! Reasons why:
1. Labor Day weekend is full or parties and weddings.
2. Labor Day wknd is last time for a family vacation before school starts.
3. Thanksgiving everyone comes home and after Thursday, having a reunion would be a nice break from family.
4. For anyone that has to choose between spending Thanksgiving in Schaumburg with your parents or out of town with the in-laws... having a reunion this weekend helps us get home to spend the holiday with our families.
I agree with the school thing. My youngest is off to preschool in the fall, and my son will be entering 1st grade. We will likely be in WDW over Labor Day, and like I said before - I'd hate to miss the reunion. I can try to plan the trip around it as much as possible, but I have to take my children's schooling into consideration, too. Hopefully we can decide on a date for the reunion soon!!!
Not everyone goes to IL for Thanksgiving and those who do will have family commitments that weekend. I have to vote for Labor day or else I won't be able to come. :(
I agree with Monica and Tammy. We are always out of town Thanksgiving Day weekend also. I'd also like to mention that Thanksgiving weekend is one of the busiest times for bars/clubs. I'm worried we will not be able to have our venue in a bar/club that weekend because of that. Perhaps, we should choose another weekend that a holiday doesn't fall on since we all seem to be busy on those two weekends.
Either weekend is fine. Thank you to all who are putting this together. I just feel real bad for you having to make the final decision in which someone won't be happy regardless of that decision.
If the plans don't fit your exact needs, please try your best to make it out anyway. It'll be a great time.
